Our company, Blu Marine Ltd Ship Refurbishment, are pleased to report that we are forecasting our most successful year to date as we begin our fifth year in business.

Our newly appointed Design Director Ross Welham brings a wealth of talent and experience within the marine industry to Blu Marine and indeed is largely responsible for the success of our recent multi-million pound contract award for DFDS (pictured above). These new design talents are also backed up by the appointment of our latest Project Manager David Huttly who has over six years seafaring experience as an Engineering Officer with Holland American Line.

Along with consolidating and building on our established market sectors we have also expanded into the offshore renewable energy industry by providing specialist lightweight fit out solutions for high speed supply catamarans used in this industry. We plan to increase our market share in this expanding market throughout the coming year.

One of our most challenging projects this year was completed for Carnival UK onboard the Oceana. The project required the removal, refurbishment and reupholstering of 550 theatre seats whilst the ship sailed from the Caribbean to the Gulf of Mexico on a 14 day cruise. The theatre remained "open for business" and the project was finished two days ahead of schedule. The Ship Overseer's Work Completion Report gave top marks for standard of workmanship, performance, professionalism and behaviour with an overall mark of Excellent.

We are very proud of the way we have completed the difficult and challenging projects we undertake. Without the hard work, support and loyalty of our work force we could not begin to consider carrying out this specialist work.
