Marine outfitting and refurbishment specialist, Blu Marine Ltd, has successfully completed its first contract for its latest new client, German cruise line, AIDA Cruises.
The contract, which involved the creation of a new Teen’s area on the AIDAcara, was carried out during its 13 day dry dock in Bremerhaven, Germany, during October.
Blu Marine has offices in Southampton and Northern Ireland and has been completing turn key projects for leading cruise lines and ferry companies since it was established in 2007.
Speaking after the handover of the completed project, Managing Director, Craig McCoo, said;
“We are naturally delighted to work with AIDA Cruises. The award of this contract clearly illustrates the confidence our clients have in our ability to deliver high quality projects on time and on budget, and we look forward to further developing our relationship with AIDA in the future.”
Blu Marine’s refurbishment on the cruise ship AIDAcara included creating a Teen’s area in an existing section of the two tier theatre which can then be converted into a conference room. The modular B15 bulkhead system and steel stairs were designed and prefabricated in house to ensure easy and efficient installation. The scope of works also included new banquette sofas, specially designed and fabricated television units, feature lighting, and new flooring and signage.
