Specialist marine outfitting company, Blu Marine, has been awarded a contract to carry out refurbishment works on the prestigious Queen Elizabeth cruise liner.
The company, which has facilities in Southampton and Belfast, will complete the works when the ship enters dry dock in Germany during May. The contract will include refurbishment of public spaces and luxury staterooms.
Blu Marine’s Managing Director, Craig McCoo, said the company was delighted to continue its working relationship with Cunard.
“The Queen Elizabeth is such a renowned cruise liner and so we are naturally very pleased to have been awarded this contract.
“The success of our business lies in our flexible approach and our ability to deliver the highest quality and service demanded by the major cruise liner operators such as the Cunard line.”
Blu Marine has been in operation since 2007 and currently employs 42 operatives.
