Blu Marine Scoops Three Major Contracts

Following on from our recent successful refurbishment on the prestigious Queen Elizabeth, Blu Marine is delighted to announce the award of three further major contracts.

During November, the company will carry out a complete pool deck refurbishment on Carnival Australia’s Pacific Dawn when it enters dry dock in Sydney. Works will include teak deck refurbishment, tiling, relaying of screeds and astroturf, design and installation of water features, lighting columns, furniture, bulkhead repairs and M&E upgrades.

In early December, a team will fly out to the Blohm & Voss shipyard in Hamburg where Carnival UK’s Aurora will enter dry dock. Blu Marine will be refurbishing all cabins and suites as well as public spaces.

And finally, we are delighted to have been awarded a design and installation contract with Holland America Line which will involve an interior upgrade to a number of public areas on the Volendam when it drydocks in Singapore in December.

Blu Marine’s Managing Director, Craig McCoo, said the award of such prestigious contracts was clear evidence that the company has the necessary experience and expertise to carry out fast track, high quality projects, anywhere in the world.

“Blu Marine has been growing continually year on year since its establishment in 2007”, he explained, “and we are now well placed to compete with the best marine outfitting companies in the world. We are currently in discussions with a number of other high profile cruise lines regarding forthcoming design and installation projects and expect to be able to announce further new projects in the near future.”
