Caribbean Princess

A very busy April 2017 kicked off with the Caribbean Princess refit in Grand Bahama Shipyard. The team joined the ship for a total of 10 days during which they installed new cabin spaces throughout various unused areas. Building the areas from bare steel the team worked hard in very hot conditions to ensure the works were completed on time. With all the containers accounted for on the quay the various trades got to work, sticking to a very tight programme.
A60 floors, bulkhead panels, deckhead, wetpods and access doors were all installed within the first few days. Our mechanical, electrical and HVAC teams worked around everyone to ensure there was no hold ups along the way, finally the bespoke furniture was installed, all manufactured by Blu Marine Ireland in our large workshops in Limavady, all from non-combustible materials to ensure fire classifications were not effected. The onsite team worked very well together to ensure the project was delivered to a high standard and on time, lots of thanks also to the office team who worked tirelessly in the lead up to the project to ensure everything and everyone was where they should be.
