DFDS Crown Seaways

Blu Marine started 2018 onboard DFDS’ Crown Seaways, drydocked in Fayard, Denmark for 20 days. The team of 83 personnel joined this amazing ship to refurbish the public spaces throughout. Over the duration the team added 24 deluxe bedrooms, the construction of which was aluminium honeycomb panels providing an extremely lightweight solution. New flooring throughout the ship, electrical installation of LED lighting and feature lighting and all 5 bars/restaurants onboard got new fixed furniture, decoration and lighting.
Building the cabins and furniture in our Limavady workshop allowed for full flexibility on all the items, before it was packed and delivered to site.
As always, thanks go to our supportive Clients, Contractors and Suppliers, without them we wouldn’t be able to finish ahead of schedule and snag free.
We are headed back to Crown next month to complete the new Baresso Coffee area while in service.
