P&O Cruises’ ORIANA

December 2016 saw the successful completion of Oriana’s refit.
The team from Blu Marine once again joined the ship in Hamburg to complete the 3 week refit, with various trades completing extensive works throughout. P&O Cruises wanted to ensure an ‘elegant and sophisticated look’ onboard this adults only ship and the final outcome did not disappoint.
Oriana can carry up to 1882 passengers and Blu Marine’s refit team ensured the makeover of the many bars, restaurants, public spaces and entertainment areas were brought up to date, on time and in budget. There was several specialist joinery items fabricated in Blu Marine Ireland’s workshop as well as new carpet fitted throughout. Once again Blu Marine’s upholstery team were challenged with the re-upholstery of the theatre, however the team ensured it was completed to the high standard required, making this the 5th consecutive P&O Cruises theatre we have re-upholstered. Decorator squads were also onboard in force and ensured all areas were brought up to scratch on this beautiful ship.
